Jellyfish pulls user data from Microsoft Entra (formerly Azure Active Directory). Once stored, users may be issued a smartcard. Jellyfish then makes this user information available to various integrations using a combination of:
- API
- LDAP
- CSV export
The user data is periodically resynced to detect changes in Entra. If a user is disabled in Entra, their access to printers, lockers etc. will also be disabled.

TeSA SALi allows you to manage user access to various services in a central application. Changes made to a Microsoft Entra user are synced throughout the system, so to remove a user’s access, you can simply disable them in Entra.
Jellyfish’s TeSA SALi component improves security as it automates the process of removing user access. When a user is disabled in Entra, their access is automatically removed from any system managed by Jellyfish. This avoids issues where operators following a manual process may forget to revoke a former employees access to a system.
